Chipco Preserve has represented the Sioux Nation at the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) and currently represents the Sicangu Lakota Oyate (Burnt Thigh Nation). The UNPFII is a “high-level advisory body to the Economic and Social Council” that addresses indigenous economic and social development issues, culture, the environment, education, health, and human rights. The Twenty-Second session of the UNPFII will be held 17 - 28 April 2023 at UN Headquarters, New York. This year’s theme is: “Indigenous Peoples, human health, planetary and territorial health and climate change: a rights-based approach.”

Donations and Grants
Donations and grants provide much-needed assistance to Indian Country. Our efforts include providing food, clean water, and other support to families in need. All contributions to Chipco are tax-deductible.
